Psychological Assessment

A psychological assessment is, in other words, how psychologists get to know the person better for the purpose of identifying potential problems or conditions, formulating a diagnosis, making a referral and/or writing a report, and guiding a treatment or care plan. We psychologists use interviews, listening, observations, and other qualitative and quantitative tools – for example we could use activities, pictures, drawings, questionnaires, etc. with the goal of developing an overall understanding and holistic view of a person.
