Adult Psychotherapy & Counselling

Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy for a range of psychological/mental problems such as depression, anxiety, phobias and panic disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, identity disorder, sexual dysfunctions, eating and sleeping problems, psychosomatic disorders, addiction problems, etc.

Special service of individual counselling and psychotherapy provided in English, Portuguese and Italian for expatriates living in Dublin. Psychological support for common problems facing expats, such as loneliness, cultural adaptation, how to adjust to a different lifestyle, sorting out money matters, cost of living, career concerns, lack of family and social life, language barriers and relationship problems.

I have trained in adult mental health service (AMH) as a clinical psychologist and managed cases of severe mental disorders such as obsessive–compulsive disorder, suicidal behaviour, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, autism, catatonia, schizoaffective disorder, etc. I have completed multidisciplinary bio-psycho-social rehabilitation training with a psychodynamic approach.

As part of a mental health recovery planning in AMH services, I coordinated therapeutic groups with multidisciplinary input of art therapy, occupational therapy, social work and psychiatry.

 

About the Psychologist Fabíola Neto

Dr Fabiola Neto is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst. She holds PhD in Psychology from University College Dublin (UCD) of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, UCD School of Medicine, in collaboration with UCD School of Psychology. Fabiola is also an academic researcher and is currently a Psychology lecturer in St Nicholas Montessori College in Dublin.
